"Let's roll, baby"

said PB Monster, on our way out the door to swimming lessons yesterday.  I don't know where he heard the saying, but I wasn't expecting to hear it out of his little mouth.  Often, if I ask, PB Monster will tell me where he has overheard a word or phrase.  I didn't think to ask yesterday.  I did think to ask when PB Monster was saying bad d**n.  One of his classmates had said G*d d**n, which PB Monster, not familiar with the "G" word, interpreted as Good d**n.  He then decided that if something bad happened, bad d**n was the appropriate converse.

Another example of PB Monster linguistic adaptation is his renaming of a Grilled cheese sandwich.  PB Monster interpreted grilled as a derivative of girl.  PB Monster is very concious currently of distinguishing girl stuff from boy stuff.  Thus, the "Boy Cheese Sandwich" was born.
